About Beth

Beth A. Ryan has a degree in Music from Berry College and a has been teaching Music, Piano, Voice, Xylophone, African drumming and Recorders since 2003, using the Kodaly Method in public schools, privately, in studios, and has been a music director at three area churches in Tallahassee, Florida. She is also an accomplished professional cantor. She has attended graduate classes in Music at Florida State University in choral conducting, and classroom curriculum methods. She currently holds a valid State of Florida Teaching Certificate in Music K- 12, and Reading. She has brought children in the public schools K-5 to performance, enlisting in collaboration with parents for their help in costume design for school choreographed events. Beth is also a member of the Music Teachers National Association, state and local chapters.

Her classes have performed at the county and district level receiving high notable achievement. She has also worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs in Florida, teaching after-school children to sing An African song, and composing the work for Xylophone, for performance. She has taught group piano in the schools, as a successful recipient of a grant awarded for $1000, which was used for the purchase of instruction books, and electronic pianos. She has conducted large choral cantata with dramatization, bell choirs, children, women and men’s ensembles. She has prepared several students in the Huntsville/Madison area in voice to prepare for upcoming performances in Musical Theatre. She has also helped Rap artists. Her passion is to develop the unique musician in YOU! 

Beth presents a classical, yet modern approach to teaching Music, using proven and effective techniques, and encourages her students whether they are children or adults to give their self- expression to a piano, vocal, or an improvised piece of music!
